I believe that church and state should be separate. Although fundamentally the government is built on christian principles, it should not be ruled solely on those religious beliefs. Creationism is becoming a threat to being implemented in the Science program of public schools. I'm against this because I do not think a particular religious belief should be endorsed by the government at the expense of ignoring/denying all others. The methodologies between Creationism and Evolution are also completely different as Creationism attempts to explain "how the world came to be," and Evolution attempts to explain what happened "after the world came to be."

Separation of church and state is a highly controversial topic, since many confusing or seemingly contradictory states take place. One, we are not allowed to pray in school, yet religious organizations are held. By allowing religious organizations to take place but not necessarily allow them to fully function to their wishes it seems to confuse what the definition of separation of church and state.

If one can have a religious group take place in school, why can they not publicly pass out free t-shirts showing their religious affiliation? In many schools, passing out free t-shirts could be seen as a violation unless given permission by the school first.

Separation of church and state should be clearer and more distinct. There should not be as many exceptions or "gray" areas as to when having religious affiliations is okay and when having religious affiliations is violation other student's/citizen's rights.

I would call my parents and tell them I love them and tell them to tell everyone else I love them too like my boyfriend and friends.
